Youth Art Month (YAM)
Every March students, educators and government take time to recognize the positive contributions that visual arts education brings to the learning experience.
We celebrate with art exhibits, like the NC General Assembly exhibit and a national exhibit featuring the best student work from all states.
Each state coordinates a flag design contest, with the winning design made into a flag for display in the Youth Art Month Museum at the National Art Education Association National Convention in March.
Reporting your success
Youth Art Chairpersons can create a digital scrapbook documenting local observances, events, exhibits, proclamations, funding, and community support for Youth Art Month. Reports are submitted to CFAE, and programs are recognized for outstanding achievement.
